Role Overview

Drone Pilot Job Opening in Nashik, PDRL (Passenger Drone Research Pvt. Ltd.) is seeking a skilled Drone Pilot to join their team and support the testing and quality validation of their in-house developed AeroGCS Green software and AG++ flight controller (FC), which are used in agriculture drones. The ideal candidate will be responsible for field testing, flight performance validation, issue reproduction, and detailed feedback reporting to the technical team.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate’s primary duties will include:

• Conducting drone test flights in real-world agricultural environments.
• Validating AeroGCS Green and AG++ FC functionalities under various conditions.
• Reporting bugs, anomalies, and performance issues with detailed logs and observations.
• Coordinating with the R&D team to replicate issues and verify fixes.
• Ensuring pre-flight and post-flight safety checks and documentation.
• Maintaining the drone and related equipment in optimal working condition.

Required Skills & Expertise

Applicants must demonstrate proficiency in the following areas:

• Knowledge of ArduPilot: Comfort with drone configuration and tuning via ArduPilot.
• Mission Planner: Proficient in mission planning, parameter settings, and live telemetry monitoring.
• Flight Modes Mastery: Ability to operate drones in Stabilize, AltHold, Loiter, Auto, RTL, Guided modes, etc..
• Log Analysis: Capable of analyzing flight logs to identify root causes and suggest performance improvements.
• Data Possessing: Possessing strong observational, reporting, and troubleshooting skills.
• Hardware: A basic understanding of drone hardware and electronics is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications

While not strictly mandatory, the following qualifications are desirable:

• A Diploma or bachelor’s degree in engineering, Electronics, or a related field.
• A Certified drone pilot (DGCA certification is a plus).
• Previous experience in agriculture drone operations or software testing.
